Assistance in visiting specialist clinics

The association’s services are a complementary service to the service provided through the health funds. It is important to note that the services provided at the HMO clinics are the most comprehensive services. At the same time, there are many cases where there is real difficulty in obtaining these services.
The process of receiving the service at ‘LeMaanam’ involves a professional telephone conversation with a medical representative. Through it and after consultation with senior doctors, the most appropriate method of treatment will be determined.

Visiting specialist clinics:
Volunteers of the ‘LeMaanam’ association, who treat private clinics all over the country, receive Holocaust survivors free of charge and with a minimum waiting period.
The patient who comes to the clinic receives pleasant and respectful treatment, and is not required to pay anything.
If there is difficulty in getting to the appointment, the association helps with transportation and escorting if necessary.

Our volunteers

Our volunteers at ‘LeMaanam’ include over 1000 doctors from all areas of medicine. In addition, a large array of volunteers from all the spectrum of health professions and an “auxillery force”of volunteers has been established which helps, amongst other things, in transporting and escorting holocaust survivors to clinics.
